Echozar was a man of mixed spirits introduced in the 4th novel "The Plains of Passage". He was born to a woman of the clan called Yoma. She was death cursed when she gave birth to a mixed child. Later a man of the others, a S'Armuna man named Andovan took her in and helped her raise her son. When his mother and foster father died, Echozar was despondant and suicidal. He was saved by the leader of the Lanzadoni, Dalanar. Echozar later mated with Joplaya, the daughter of Dalanar and his mate Jerika. Joplaya and Echozar have a son named Bokavan, who has 1/4 clan heritage. Bokavan was introduced in the final novel "The Land of the Painted Caves"
